Web Bonus: Crafts & Snacks

Need some theme-related snacks for a preview event, training party, or follow-up event? Check these out:

PYRAMID COOKIES
Buy or bake triangle-shaped ("pyramid") sugar cookies and frost them in a flavor of your choosing. Then, crush up some graham crackers on the fresh icing to give them a sandy, fresh out-of-Egypt look.

MINI-DIG CUPS
Your little archaeologists will get a kick digging into their own chocolate pudding cup, equipped with crumbled Oreo dirt, and maybe even a gummy worm or two crawling around in the "dirt."

PHARAOH'S PUNCH OF THE DAY
Kids will love sipping down on the Pharaoh's flavor of the day. Give each flavor a fun name like "Great Pyramid Grape" or "Out-of-Egypt Orange."

Look for some extra craft ideas, too? We've got you covered!

EGG CARTON CAMEL (Courteous of DLTK Kids)
Materials: cardboard egg carton, brown paint or marker, masking tape, ball of aluminum foil, and wiggle eyes.

Instructions:
1) Cut a two "egg cup" strip and a single "egg cup" from your egg carton.
2) Cut four strips from the lid of your egg carton for the legs. Leave a bit of the lip of the
     carton for the feet
3) Cut a piece from the center of the lid for the camels neck. It's best if you can get one of
the little lumps from the lid to slide into the camel's head
4) Tape the aluminum foil ball into the back cup of the camel. This weights the back so he
doesn't constantly fall forward on his face.
5) Tape or glue the pieces of the camel together. The neck should be taped to the two cup
section. The other end of the neck should be taped into the single cup. The legs should
be taped to the front and back of the two cup section.
6) Paint the camel brown and glue on the wiggle eyes.

DESIGN-A-PYRAMID (Courteous of DLTK Kids)
Materials: pyramid template (click to download), glue or tape, and markers.

Instructions:
1) Cut out the pieces of the pyramid.
2) Fold along the dotted lines and glue/tape the tab of one triangle to free side of another
triangle. Continue until the pyramid is formed.
3) Decorate with designs!
